"Manshees" by Chance - 40mm Brushed Flywheels
Chance is back at it again with another superb flywheel design! These wheels are similar to Banned Blasters Banshees and should be compatible with their cages, though compatibility is not guaranteed. Like all of our brushed wheels, we machine these 100% in-house. The shaft interface is single-point bored in the same operation that cuts the outer profile, guaranteeing the least possible imbalance and runout. No other wheels on the market can even approach our level of precision.
These wheels are heavy. The thick inner wall helps prevent deflection and allows for improved energy transfer, but as a result, these wheels are 13g each. High torque motors are required - the below video uses Worker 180s. BB42Ks also work great, as do Neo Hellcats (if you can get them). If you try out other motors, please let us know how they run! You'll want to run these with a 40mm motor spacing. Make sure your cage can accommodate 40mm diameter wheels - these are only slightly smaller than 40mm OD.
